LOMBOK researchers Eleanor Slade and Sarah Luke will present at the Sabah World Rivers Day conference in Kota Kinabalu where they will give a plenary session about the successful collaboration between scientists and policy makers in informing Sabah’s riparian guidelines.

The conference aims to bring together researchers in ecology, conservation and environmental science across Scotland (and more widely). It is a great opportunity for PhD and MSc students to present their work, interact with peers and more senior researchers and policy makers, and to discuss the ways that research can be used to inform conservation and environmental policy.

The “European Conference of Tropical Ecology” – the annual scientific meeting of the Society for Tropical Ecology (Gesellschaft für Tropenökologie, gtö) – will be organized in 2017 in Brussels, Belgium, by three Universities and three research-museum institutions. It will take place from Monday 6 to Friday 10 February 2017.
